The Department of Psychology at Bucknell University invites applications for a one-year position at the rank of Visiting Assistant Professor beginning August 2025.

As part of a six-course teaching load (three courses per semester), the successful candidate will be expected to teach Introductory Psychology, General Research Methods (in Psychology), Behavioral Neuroscience, and an advanced seminar in the candidate's area of interest that can satisfy Psychology and Neuroscience upper-level requirements. A Ph.D. or ABD in Psychology, Neuroscience, or related field is required. Some support for research will be available, but teaching is the primary focus of this position.

The ideal candidate will be a teacher-scholar with a demonstrated interest in working with a diverse student population at a primarily undergraduate liberal arts institution. We seek a candidate who has a demonstrated commitment to providing high impact educational practices that would appeal to the diverse students who enroll in Introductory Psychology, as well as the Psychology and Neuroscience majors who are the audience for the intermediate and high-level classes. Strong applications will address how the candidate's experiences, knowledge, skills, and/or past accomplishments will contribute to inclusive teaching.
